A good MC

A good MC (The Master of Ceremonies or emcee) requires so much more than just telling a few jokes or good at public speaking.  There's just so much that they have to be prepared to make sure all the events runs smoothly.  They have to learn about the Bride & Groom as well as their guests to host the reception.
They need to be organized with the correct names to be announced and the programs to run in timely manner, know when to tell or NOT to tell a joke, and most importantly, want to add some emotion and special touches that all can cherish.
